Services

Supporting Czech interests and citizens in Washington State.

While honorary consuls are not full-time diplomats, they play a vital role in representing their country abroad. The Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Seattle is appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and serves under the guidance of the Consulate General in Los Angeles.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting Czech citizens with basic consular matters (e.g. guidance, referrals, and document handling)
  • Supporting cultural and educational events that promote Czech heritage
  • Facilitating business and trade connections between Czech- and Washington-based companies
  • Building relationships with local government, civic, and cultural institutions
  • Representing the Czech Republic at official and community events in the Pacific Northwest

What We Cannot Help With

While we'd love to help you with all your Czech documents, we are unable to assist with the following:

  • Visa - please consult this page on the website of Consulate General in LA.
  • Czech ID - review this page on the Ministry of Interior's website.
  • Czech driver license - this page on the Ministry of Transportartion's website.
  • Passport applications - please contact Consulate General in LA to set up an appointment; more info here. (Please note: beginning in 2026, we will be hosting one or two multi-day events per year where a representative from Consulate General in LA will travel up to the Seattle area with a special device, allowing local residents to apply for their Czech passport locally. We will do our best to inform the community via our website, social media and email.)
